Physicist Michio Kaku has suggested a mind‑bending idea: advanced civilizations may not live in the 3‑dimensional space we know, but in hyperspace, realms with more than 3 dimensions.
In hyperspace, the laws of physics could be very different. Civilizations living there might travel across galaxies instantly, bend time, or even move between universes. To us, these beings would seem invisible, because our senses and tools are limited to three dimensions.

Kaku explains that what we call “aliens” might not be far away in distance, but hidden in dimensions we cannot see. Their technology could be so advanced that it looks like magic compared to ours.
This idea also connects to string theory, which suggests the universe may have extra dimensions curled up beyond our perception. If true, hyperspace could be the natural home for civilizations billions of years ahead of us.
The thought is both exciting and humbling: humanity may not be alone, but simply unable to see those who live in higher dimensions. Hyperspace could be the ultimate frontier of discovery.
