FRISCO, Texas — An unexpected moment during a routine OTA week has become one of the most discussed stories inside the Dallas Cowboys organization.
What began as an ordinary afternoon at team headquarters eventually turned into a lesson about leadership and commitment.

The parking lot contained only a handful of vehicles and most of the lights throughout the building had already been turned off.
Downs expected to retrieve his device, spend a few minutes inside, and then return home.
Instead, he witnessed something that left a lasting impression.
As he approached the practice fields, he noticed lights still shining in the distance.
At the far end of the field stood a single player continuing to work through drills long after everyone else had departed.
That player was Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
While the majority of the roster had been gone for hours, Prescott remained focused on refining details of his game.
The sight immediately caught the attention of the rookie.
Later, Downs shared the experience with teammates and explained why it resonated so deeply with him.
“I thought I was one of the last guys to leave today. I drove home, sat down, and realized I forgot my iPad. Two hours later I came back expecting the building to be empty.
