Marshawn Kneeland will forever remain a part of the Dallas Cowboys family.

Marshawn Kneeland should not be remembered by how he died, but rather who he was as a person: bright, caring, generous, and full of love.
That’s why the Dallas Cowboys recently installed a tribute for Kneeland in the team’s players’ lounge. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed Tuesday it’s a marker that has Kneeland’s personal phrase, ‘One Love’, written on it.
“We’ve got, you know, different things … a marker down in the players lounge, supporting, and it says ‘One Love’ (with a) big, bright star, because that was one of Marshawn’s sayings,” said Schottenheimer.
“When you’re part of our family, you’re family for life.”
Schottenheimer’s comment stemmed from a question about Kneeland’s recently-born son, Makhai. His girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, recently shared an Instagram post stating the child was born on June 11.
Of course, Schottenheimer made sure to share the good news with the team and let Catalina know the Cowboys are there to support her in anyway possible.
“We actually showed a picture of Makhai today, so congrats to Catalina,” said Schottenheimer. “I actually saw her a couple weeks ago at D-Mo’s (DeMarvion Overshown) wedding, she was there and everybody’s doing great. The guys were fired up and excited…
” … We want to make sure we do a great job of looking out for her and Baby Makhai.”
It’s awesome to hear this is the Cowboys’ approach when it comes to keeping Marshawn Kneeland’s memory alive. Especially when considering it centers around who he was as a human being.
